EurAm America à la carte (A la Carte) is a reservation system for tailor-made travel trips (holidays) to North and Middle America. The system features a database of hotels, car rentals and special services, accessible to licensed travel agents only. 

The system was developed and is operated by EurAm inc. (EurAm nv), an independent owned company that was founded in 1990 in Louvain, a historical town in Belgium. This small city, about 20 minutes from Brussels, is renowned for its 15^th century university, its neo-gothic city hall, its 13^th century beguinage and its famous brewery, Stella Artois.  Its lively city center is often referred to as ‘the largest bar in the world’. EurAm operates in the travel industry under license number A.1875, in accordance with Belgian law and European guidelines. Accordingly, a legal caution covers its professional obligations. EurAm has a financial liability insurance for services sold within the European Union with the Travel Guarantee Fund (Garantiefonds Reizen – Fonds de Garantie Voyages), a mutual insurance association located in Belgium, Dobbelenberg – Metrologielaan 8, 1130 Brussels. The company started as an incentive house, specialized in travel to North-America. By the end of last century, EurAm had develop a unique system to efficiently package different services for the individual client (traveler) in just one file.

EurAm was the first in Europe to offer a dynamic packaging technique. At the same time, EurAm decided to reserve the system exclusively for travel agencies, thus giving them the opportunity of providing a more attractive service to their clients. Now, more than 4,000 travel agencies all over Europe (Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France and Germany) have access to the EurAm website.

EurAm called its technology DINO, thereby using the logo of a cute, Flintstone-like dinosaur and suggesting – ironically - that people and advanced technology go hand in hand, creating the necessary synergy. One cannot do without the other.

In 2003, EurAm received the prestigious “Innovation Award in Travel Industry” from the Belgian magazine for professionals, Travel Magazine. 

With EurAm, the travel agent has access to a larger choice, a more extensive inventory and a more secure form of reservation than the individual customer on the Internet. A team of dedicated specialists will support the travel agent in making the right decision for his client.

 

The system now boasts (contains) more than 15,000 hotels, 4,000 special services and all kinds of rental vehicles on numerous locations throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Cuba, the Bahamas and Costa Rica. Without the support and enthusiasm of our dedicated team, this would never have been possible.

In 2005, EurAm moved to a new location, a complex of brand new offices, pleasantly situated along the waterside, breathing the air of innovation, transparency and creativity.
